It feels good to paint again, albeit digitally. Really enjoying digital painting. This time, I’m using Paint Tool SAI to put the colors in. Previously, I had used Photoshop to paint the elements, but Paint Tool SAI feels more natural, and is easier to blend colors with. It’s more lightweight, too. I just have to be more familiar with it’s user interface and shortcuts. I’m also planning to try other programs for digital painting, preferably low-cost (free?) and lightweight like SAI. Any suggestions?

Fire Ferrets update! Painting digitally for the first time. Just got the elements down and I’m already learning a lot.

Great advice.
A typographic poster inspired by the song Pag-agos by Up Dharma Down (video: [link]). Same treatment: I wanted it to be more than just fonts on a poster so I customized the typeface.

I did this last January; I was experimenting with Typography. I didn’t want it to be “just the font” applied on the poster so I uh.. broke the typeface? This poster was to be the first of a series of OPM (Original Pilipino Music)-themed posters. Also featuring my latest logo!

Trying my hand at frame by frame animation. This is incredibly tedious. 8(
Progress: A scene from my Something About Us (Daft Punk) animated music video (that I recomposed vertically so I could use it as a profile picture).
Just sharing my process for my Something About Us animation. To save time, I made a lot of things simple. The shapes, the colors and the textures. I limited my colors to a single blue hue and a single yellow hue, and different shades of those colors. And then to create the texture, I only use one single brush, and made 3 different uh.. “densities”? With one grungy art brush (one of Adobe Illustrator’s default art brushes), I made 3 levels of roughness.
Looking forward to completing the whole thing. :)
Something I did for Lindsey for Valentine’s Day. :) I always thought she had nice mermaid hair (like Ariel’s). :)
(Also, BSB4LYF.)
So I’m doing an animated music video for the song Something About Us, by Daft Punk. And after a couple of months of putting it on hold (Due to the holidays, and got busy putting up a new site for the Color Cure) I decided to move forward with this personal video project of mine. My goal is to do at least one frame each day. I have 4 frames down so far. I have a total of around 50 frames to do. Wish me luck? :D
If anyone wanted to know, I’m using Adobe Illustrator for this storyboard. :)
You can also take a look at a color test/teaser thing I made for this video.
Here are some Korra sketches to go with that Naga sketch. :) Did you know that Korra could already earthbend and firebend at an extremely young age?
Hi. So I drew myself a Naga, the Polar Bear Dog. :P Who else is excited for Legend of Korra? :)

We also have a new website design up but we’re still tweaking some stuff. You can check it out here.
