Korra with her hair down.
Korra by Judee Zabala. EGGSALAD ART BY FRIENDS.
More Motorcity. Added fingerless gloves and weird-perspective speedlines for MAXIMUM SPEED, MAXIMUM FREEDOM LIFESTYLE. Also, more tusks on my steering wheel! In other news, I’m getting more comfortable translating my style digitally with the tablet by drawing all day. Yay, me.
(Cool Trivia: I don’t know how to drive.)

Made a sketch of myself as character from Motorcity. Whenever I reimagine myself as a fantasy character, I always see myself as that guy who wields the over-sized heavy weapons, like axes and maces (and occasionally 2-handed swords). Seems appropriate for my build.
Designing my car right now. Uploading soon.

“That lady is my hero.” Lin Beifong. Bad-ass to the end. (Or is it the end?)
Episode 10 was an amazing ride. One scene I’m laughing, and then I’m tearbending by the next. And then that goes on repeatedly for the rest of the episode. And that last scene!
OMG spoiler guy voiced by spoiler spoiler!!
The season finale is going to be A DOOZY!!!
Also: Mako is a douchebender. And still not convinced Amon’s “bendtaking” is permanent.

Sketch! Captain Barbell/Enteng and the Magic Barbell Concept. :)
From Wikipedia:
Captain Barbell is a fictional Filipino superhero created by writer Mars Ravelo and artist Jim Fernandez.
Enteng, a poor, wimpy and skinny but kindhearted boy always gets bullied by other people because he is undersized and easy to pick on. He tries to practice weight training and exercise to improve his physique, but his poor status prevents him to do it properly. He ends up buying (or finding in other versions) an old, secondhand and rusty barbell for him to practice on. He later discovers that the Barbell contains hidden powers, when he lifts it in one hand and shouts the name “Captain Barbell”, he transforms to Captain Barbell, a superhero possessing invulnerability, super strength, x-ray vision, incredible speed and the power of flight. With his newfound powers, he fights evil forces and protects the weak and helpless. Captain Barbel is created after the DC character, Captain Marvel (Shazam).
(In other versions iirc, he acquires the barbell as a reward from defending an old man who turns out to be a powerful wizard. Or was that Darna?)
I always wanted Captain Barbell to use the Magic Barbell as a weapon, not just as a tool used for transformation/summoning, like a magical double-ended mace. Also, since it was magical, maybe he could change the barbell’s size or length. I want this to be Captain Barbell’s main special skill: wielding and manipulating the barbell. I didn’t want him to be just “the Filipino Superman/Captain Marvel (DC)”. He could still have super strength, and partial invulnerability, but preferably not completely indestructible.
Also, dat art style. It’s been out with only one episode and I’m already watching too much Tron: Uprising.
Sucks to run out of space on the paper, too.

Legend of Korra’s Bad-ass Scene of the Week: Punching ice shards with your bare fists! Comparable to punching big robots in the face with your bladed gauntlets.
Thinking of doing this for every episode…

Trying my hand at frame by frame animation. This is incredibly tedious. 8(
Here are some Korra sketches to go with that Naga sketch. :) Did you know that Korra could already earthbend and firebend at an extremely young age?
Hi. So I drew myself a Naga, the Polar Bear Dog. :P Who else is excited for Legend of Korra? :)
Some concept art and storyboard thumbnails of my next personal animation project. :) Hooray for getting things done!
Sketch of Lindsey’s face watching me doing a sketch of her face. Done with her iPad. :)
Various Darna sketches from the time when I was in college (2007-2011) PLUS a Darna artwork from when I was in high school (a drawing done around 2005). Back then, I drew anime. Look at all those rainbow lens flares. It’s a little embarrassing but I thought it would be nice to show how much my style has changed all these years.
Btw, yep I use the backsides of school documents for sketching. You only need them for a day or week anyway.
Various Captain Barbell sketches from the time when I was in college (2007-2011). You can see a little bit of my development here. In my version of Captain Barbell, he also has the ability to change the size of his barbell, and use it as a giant hammer.
Art trade with my friend and HS classmate, Jason San Gabriel! :D
