Throwback Thursday Poster paint on cardboard, April 2007 It was the summer before college. I was a new at painting and new at writing with Baybayin. My script was illegible, and I never thought poster paint needed water. The paint was from whatever was left of my final group art project from high school. It became my favorite color scheme ever since.

It was the summer before college. I was a new at painting and new at writing with Baybayin. My script was illegible, and I never thought poster paint needed water. The paint was from whatever was left of my final group art project from high school. It became my favorite color scheme ever since.

It feels good to paint again, albeit digitally. Really enjoying digital painting. This time, I’m using Paint Tool SAI to put the colors in. Previously, I had used Photoshop to paint the elements, but Paint Tool SAI feels more natural, and is easier to blend colors with. It’s more lightweight, too. I just have to be more familiar with it’s user interface and shortcuts. I’m also planning to try other programs for digital painting, preferably low-cost (free?) and lightweight like SAI. Any suggestions?
